The Amazing Spider-Man by Nathalief87 The Amazing Spider-Man by Nathalief87
After a few works with graphite, my paintbrushes where missing me... So I decided to paint something that really impressed me and I've always been a sucker for the Spiderman-movies. I didn't fully realize what I was getting myself into and noticed later how much time it took to paint al the little dots on his suit and all the windows and buildings in the back. So I spent the last two months painting this (although I think it took me only one month but I got kinda tired of it and didn't really bother to get on with the work). So I hope you like it. I'm so glad it's finished. :)
Watercolour, 40x60 cm

You know what? I think it would be far better if you put more light on the left side of the drawing. I know you were up to mark out Spider Man's figure but still this makes drawing looking too spooky for me. Like that part of drawing was a ghost city.
Yet, your drawing style is purely astonishing, despite of this :)

Thanks! Actually I wanted to finish the picture by darkening the left of the image a bit but as I brushed some dark coloured water over it the whole left side was suddenly too dark and the watercolourpaint of the buildings washed off making it a lot darker then I wanted. I probably rushed into it and didn't let the paint dry enough. So you're right, I intended it to be a bit lighter. Good observation ;)

WOA MAN thats amazing! its incredible how much details you were able to add to the drawing, its like you used and advanced effect on a software like photoshop to give that drawing effect to the origina wallpaper. =]

Thanks. Most people think I drew the details on the suit but I painted it really dry so I could control every stroke :) I drew some guidelines for the perspective and the flow of the suit but I painted over them and that was just so that I would know how it would stretch out. :)
